Ms. Shiang-Fen Wei is from Taiwan. She graduated from the “National Taiwan Academy of Arts” (now “National Taiwan University of Arts”) in 1991, majoring in Ballet and Chinese dance, and has more than 30 years of teaching experience in dance education.

Ms. Wei was the rehearsal director of the famous Catholic “Lanyang Dance Company” in Taiwan from 1992 to 1999, and led the “Lanyang Dance Company” to perform in the United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria and China. She served as a full-time teacher in a special ballet class and started teaching and rehearsing with Soviet-Russian ballet educators, study teaching materials for children’s ballet education.

Ms. Wei was also the principal choreographer and artistic director of the famous “Liu Yu-Chih Dance Research Institute” in Taiwan in 1995. The “Liu Yu-Chih Dance Research Institute” was founded in Taiwan in 1957 by Ms. Wei’s mother-in-law, Ms. Liu Yu-Chih. In 2007, Ms. Wei founded “Ms. Wei Dance” in California, USA. Since then, she has inherited more than 60 years of experience in dance education work in her Family and upholds the concept of “Honesty, Kindness and Beauty” to continue to pass on dance culture to our next generations.

魏湘芬老師 來自台灣。畢業於 1991 年” 國立台灣藝術專科學校” (現今的 “國立台灣藝術大學 “) 舞蹈系主修芭蕾舞和中國舞, 從事舞蹈教育至今已有 30 年以上的教學經驗。

1992-1999 年期間, 魏老師曾任教於台灣知名天主教 “蘭陽舞蹈團” 的舞團排練總監， 帶領 “蘭陽舞蹈團” 出訪美國、加拿大、德國、義大利、荷蘭、奧地利及中國等國家演出。擔任芭蕾專修班的專任老師，與 “蘭陽舞團” 專聘蘇俄芭蕾舞教育家們共同授課和排練, 研究兒童芭蕾舞教育的教材。

魏老師在 1995 年起擔任台灣知名 “劉玉芝舞蹈研究社” 的校長、編舞總監和藝術總監, “劉玉芝舞蹈研究社 “是魏老師的婆婆劉玉芝女士在1957 年創立於台灣。2007 年魏老師在美國加州創立「Ms. Wei Dance」至今，她傳承了家族60 多年的舞蹈教育工作經驗，秉持著「真、善、美」的理念將舞蹈文化繼續傳承下去給我們的下一代。
